Attorneys
David P. Kuenzli
Attorney
David was born on November 13th, 1936, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He is a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and Ohio University. During his years at Ohio University, he participated in football, earning three letters. He was also active in student government, serving as president of his social fraternity. David attended the Ohio State University College of Law, graduating in June of 1964; he was admitted to the practice of law in 1965. After working for the Ohio Legislative Commission for a year, he joined the firm in 1965.
David is an avid outdoorsman. He has owned a boat for many years and enjoys fishing and cruising on Lake Erie. He and his wife enjoy traveling overseas; they have visited Canada, Europe, South America, Alaska, and the Far East many times.
David resides approximately five miles west of Findlay with his wife, Gwen. He is currently a member of the Findlay Rotary Club, Findlay Elks Lodge, the Findlay-Hancock County Bar Association (President, 1977), and the Ohio State Bar Association.

William E. Clark
Attorney
Bill was born in 1943 on a farm in western Van Wert County. He graduated from Convoy-Crestview High School in 1961, having obtained his FFA State Farmer Degree as a junior in 1960. He attended the University of Findlay, where he served as editor of the college newspaper and Student Sports Information Director, while also maintaining a small farming operation. He graduated from the University of Findlay in 1965 and from the Ohio Northern University College of Law in 1968. He began his legal career as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Hancock County and Assistant Solicitor for the City of Findlay before joining the firm in 1973.
Bill resides in Findlay with his wife, Teresa. He is currently a member of the Findlay Elks Lodge; Amvets Post No. 21; the Ohio State Bar Association; the Findlay-Hancock County Bar Association (President, 1980); the American Association for Justice; and the American Bar Association, where he has served on the Family Law and Litigation committees. He is admitted to practice before all courts and agencies in the State of Ohio, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio; the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan; and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Bill is a Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent Attorney, as well.

Thomas D. Drake
Attorney
Tom was born on September 1st, 1952 in Findlay. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1970, and from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1974. Tom graduated from the Ohio Northern University College of Law in 1977 and joined the firm later that year.
Tom resides in Findlay with his wife, Ann. He is currently a member of the Findlay Elks Lodge (Exalted Ruler, 1985-86); the Knights of Columbus; the Findlay Country Club (President, 2001-2002); the Findlay-Hancock County Bar Association (past President, 2003); the Ohio State Bar Association; and the Ohio Association for Justice. He is admitted to practice before all courts and agencies in the State of Ohio, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio; the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio; and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Since 1990, he has been a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. Tom is also a licensed title insurance agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company. He is a Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent Attorney, too.

John D. Oman
Attorney
John was born May 9th, 1957, in Findlay. He graduated from Cory-Rawson High School in 1975 and graduated magna cum laude from Ohio Northern University in 1979 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, History, and Political Science. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1982 and was admitted to the practice of law later that year. He joined the firm in 1987.
John resides in rural Hancock County with his wife, Deborah. He is currently a member of the Findlay-Hancock County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. John is a licensed title insurance agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company.
His areas of practice include real estate, and estate and business planning. Part of his duties in the real estate area include managing Assured Title Agency, Inc, which handles real estate closings for both residential and commercial transactions.
Garth W. Brown
Attorney
Garth was born on February 5th, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio. He is a 1986 graduate of Findlay High School, and graduated cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990. Garth attended Drake University Law School, graduating in 1993. Garth was a partner with the law firm of Kentris, Brown, Powell, and Balega before joining Drake, Phillips, Kuenzli & Clark in the fall of 1998. Garth became a partner at Drake, Phillips, Kuenzli & Clark in 1999.
Garth resides in Findlay with his wife, Carmen. They have two daughters, Mikayla and Aubrey. He is a member of the Findlay Elks (Lodge #75), as well as the Ohio and Hancock County Bar Associations. He is a former City of Findlay Council member and a former Member of the Board of Directors for the Benton Ridge Telephone Company.

Scott Smith
Attorney
Scott was born on August 11th, 1993, in Willard, Ohio. He is a 2017 graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Systems Management and a 2021 graduate of the Ohio Northern University College of Law, where he was the valedictorian of his class. He joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2021. Scott enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard in 2012 and is presently serving as a Commissioned Officer.
Scott lives in Findlay with his wife, Hannah. Scott is a member of the Ohio and Hancock County Bar Associations. He is also a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Findlay.
